My friends and I are all extremely busy. Sometimes, weeks can go by before we get the chance to see each other. You can get online birthday cards at the very last minute, and no one will be the wiser. On top of this, you can customize them. You can even make your own online birthday cards if you want to. Almost everyone has Photoshop, or something similar nowadays. All you have to do is import a picture, write some text, make any changes that you want, and there you have it. Some people take it a little bit too far and get an online birthday gift for friends. I have always thought this was a little tacky. You should take the time to give birthday gifts yourself. An online birthday card can suffice in the meantime, but eventually you should give birthday gifts in person if possible.
